2021 Municipal Election Information

Attention City of Brunswick voters: The Glynn County Board of Elections are now accepting absentee ballot applications for the November 2, 2021 municipal (city) election.

Recent election laws have changed the absentee voting application and process, but our staff can help you understand these changes.

If you have any questions about completing or returning the application, please contact our office at 912-554-7060 or glynnelections@glynncounty-ga.gov.

A copy of the new application is below. If you are unable to print the application, contact our office and we will mail one to you.

Early voting begins October 12, 2021 at the Board of Elections Early Voting location.

Welcome new DPG 1st CD Chair

Please join us in congratulating the newly elected DPG 1st Congressional District (1CD) Chair James “Jay” Jones. Jay was elected by the DPG State Committee on April 24th, 2021. A Shaw University graduate, Jones has served as a county commissioner and in various leadership roles throughout Chatham County, Georgia. He is currently serving his 2nd term as Chair of the Chatham County Democratic Committee (CCDC). Jones is the former County Commissioner for District 6 of the Chatham County Board of Commissioners. Additionally, he also served on the Chatham County Board of Commissioners as Vice Chair, from 2019-2020.Jay Jones was a passionate youth advocate and community organizer before his 2016 election as Chatham County Commissioner. Some of his former roles are: Vice Chair on the Chatham Area Transit Executive Board, as a member of the Board of Directors for the Economic Opportunity Authority for Savannah-Chatham County, and Vice Chair for the 1st Congressional District of the DPG, as well as other civic organizations.“I will work hard to serve my community and the 1st Congressional District.”
